Zodiac Heads

Ai Weiwei's Zodiac Heads exhibit is up in the courtyard at Somerset House. I think it's brilliant, especially when you understand the context for the original work on which it is modelled, where it was and how the Chinese government is currently approaching art. The exhibit opened opened without Ai Weiwei. He was imprisoned days before the opening by the Chinese government.

Tuilerie Street

This isn't a street any longer, just a bit of a driveway into the parking lot behind a building. I've lived here three years and just recently noticed it. There are whispers of the area's history all over. One of the first waves of immigrants to the East End was the Huguenots, I imagine this street was named by, or after, them...
